New tractor!

elderberryfarmsest

I'm waiting for the day when I officially "feel like a farmer" - today felt more like a farmer day. :) I bought a Kubota 2650 and cannot wait to have the tractor arrive at property!

This whole journey has been a bit surreal but I'm loving every step of the way! Even when I had four hours of sleep then started at 4:00 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. on our planting day (in the pouring rain)...I actually enjoyed it. Perhaps I'm crazy...and I suppose the likelihood of that is quite high (ha). Who invests in a farm when that industry is struggling?

I received a lovely email from someone (who actually read our blog! Thank you, Mary!) and they share the same concern for farms dying out due to real estate development and a lack of interest in youth. Thank you for supporting this wild journey and words of encouragement!

Enough of my ranting...let us reveal the Kubota beast! I need to name her, so feel free to submit any tractor names you can think of :)
